WEAR Ghana is a fashion company that offers contemporary African clothing. After a decade of brand building, WEAR Ghana is launching a new brand as a vehicle for its expansion into the global market. Through partnerships with factories and designers in Africa, as well as effective marketing and distribution, the company intends to make Afrocentric fashion a benchmark product globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE ENTREPRENEUR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awura Abena Agyeman<\/strong> is the co-founder and Managing Director of WEAR Ghana Ltd, one of Ghana's leading fashion brands, with the ambition to become Africa's most loved brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is passionate about Africa and believes that businesses should be both profitable and impactful. She is using her company as a tool for\ncreating opportunities for underprivileged people especially marginalised women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awura holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is one of the Mandela Washington Fellows<\/em> <\/a>which rewards young African leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE ACCELERATION PROJECT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afrique Cr\u00e9ative will support WEAR Ghana in its expansion strategy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To achieve its objectives, the company will invest in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Marketing: to communicate about the launch of the new brand to the public. This includes website development, content production and distribution, communications campaigns and influencer partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Production: Increase production to take advantage of the demand created in new and existing markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Management and HR: Hiring top talent and building the capacity of the existing team to execute this new phase of exponential growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Research and development for new products and new market development, as well as management of partnerships with factories and creatives on the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
