From October 5th to 11th, we were in Johannesburg, hosted by the festival Fak'ugesi<\/a>, the unmissable event for innovation and digital creativity on the continent. Gathered for one last time, our 15 entrepreneurs experienced a week rich in exchanges, meetings, and opportunities. Here's a glimpse of our week there:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Workshops<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To conclude the third edition of the programme, we organised two workshops. The first focused on the programme\u2019s impact and post-support lessons learned, while the second was an evaluation workshop aimed at gathering participants\u2019 feedback on the programme. This allowed us to collect valuable insights for future editions.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in Fak'ugesiPRO<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosted at the heart of the Fak\u2019ugesi Festival, our participants took part in the wide range of activities offered, particularly during the \u201cPRO\u201d days dedicated to industry professionals. Over three days, they joined high-level panel discussions, pitched their projects, and engaged in B2B meetings with fellow entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our entrepreneurs rose to the PechaKucha challenge, presenting their projects in just a few slides and captivating audiences with passionate stories about their companies and the impact they are creating across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival also showcased our entrepreneurs through dedicated exhibition booths, highlighting their creative products and services. It was a great opportunity to present their work, connect with audiences, and even make a few sales along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launch Event of Advocacy Booklet<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took advantage of our presence in Johannesburg to present our new advocacy booklet on investing in cultural and creative industries in Africa. More information here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cultural Visits and Immersions<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, two immersive tours offered participants a deep dive into Johannesburg\u2019s rich urban heritage and iconic cultural venues. These included visits to Soweto, Constitution Hill, and the Market Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduation Ceremony <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To bring the week to a close on a celebratory note, we hosted a convivial dinner during which each participant received their diploma, attesting to their successful completion of the Afrique Cr\u00e9ative programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
