Bootcamp 2: scaling strategies

This program, financed by'AFD and implemented by a consortium led by Africalia, aims to promote structuring of the cultural and creative ecosystem by supporting the development, strengthening of skills and networking of companies in this sector in Africa.

Initially planned for Kampala in Uganda, the format of the “bootcamp”, a week of workshops and exchanges between the nine supported entrepreneurs, the members of the consortium and various stakeholders, had to be adapted taking into account the global health crisis. Participants will therefore meet during 3 days during a fully digital bootcamp.

On the menu: establishment of a collective reflection on the scaling strategies companies in the cohort. Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to reflect on the challenges that arise on a human, financial and operational level when the company enters the growth phase.

The following questions will be addressed:

  • Is my business ready for a change of scale?
  • What are the possible obstacles or levers, both on a human and financial level?
  • What strategy should I adopt to develop my activities sustainably?
  • How do I prepare for fundraising to finance this move to scale?
  • What is my trajectory of change since entering the program?
  • what are my short and medium term development objectives?

Between theory, testimonies, sharing of experiences and practice, these times of exchange aim to create a emulation around shared challenges.

This digital format imposed by current circumstances represents an opportunity toadapt the program's tools for the world of tomorrow.
