INVEST IN AFRICAN CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

The cultural and creative industries (CCIs) represent a powerful lever for the continent's transformation, provided they are equipped with the necessary financial resources, skills, and infrastructure. Convinced of this potential, Creative Africa hopes to encourage a broader community of investors and business partners to engage in this strategic sector.

Creative Africa has thus published two advocacy booklets:

  1. Investing in African CCIs – 2021
  2. What's next for investment in African CCIs? – 2025

The first study, published in 2021, presents four key arguments explaining how investment in cultural and creative industries (CCIs) generates far-reaching economic, social, and cultural impacts. It also addresses the main characteristics of the CCI sector to help investors better understand it. Finally, this study explores the future path forward for CCI investments after the COVID-19 crisis.

The second report, published in 2025, reviews the latest developments in the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) sector and their growing success. It also outlines the opportunities and challenges ahead to ensure that African CCIs have access to the investments needed to reach their full potential.
