From September 17 to 19, 2024, the winners of the 3rd edition of Afrique Créative participated in the first online bootcamp, dedicated to strengthening economic models and creative innovation.
For 3 days, the entrepreneurs followed a tailor-made program, developed by the Africalia team in collaboration with our partners I&P, Zhu Culture, Bayimba and Tshimologong.
This bootcamp combined inspiring conferences, collective reflection sessions, group exercises and speed-dating moments, allowing everyone to learn, be inspired, exchange and think differently (“outside the box”).
What program?
- There first day, hosted by I&P, was dedicated to the business model and to financial projections. Participants were asked to reflect on their financial model and observe the impact of their choices on the company's overall results.
- There second day, orchestrated by Zhu Culture and Bayimba, highlighted the importance of the creativity and of the'innovation to enrich business models. Discussions also focused on protecting intellectual property to maximize company revenues. Participants exchanged ideas on their creative offerings and strategies to innovate and stand out in their respective sectors.
- There third day, under the coordination of Tshimologong, explored the world of digital innovation and the branding strategies. Ryan Feeke-Fortune highlighted the importance of human connections and the impact of communities in building impactful brands. Carly Whitaker then led a collaborative workshop, inviting entrepreneurs to reflect on the integration of digital into their creative projects.
What is the assessment?
This first bootcamp aimed to encourage participants to think outside the box and explore new perspectives to innovate and rethink their business strategies.
The many friendly moments and speed-dating sessions reinforced the feeling of belonging to a community of peers sharing the same ambitions and challenges. It was an opportunity for our entrepreneurs to exchange about their experiences, identify opportunities for collaboration and build strong ties for the future.
And after?
Participants leave feeling re-energized and motivated to develop their businesses and continue their incubation journey with Afrique Créative.
Next steps include the start of creative mentoring and continued support from local incubators.
