Bootcamp n°2 in Tunis: focus on fundraising and impact

From March 28 to 31, 2022 the winners of the 2th edition of Afrique Créative met in Tunis as part of a week of training (bootcamp) focused on scaling up and preparing for fundraising.

After meeting for more than 6 months online, the entrepreneurs were finally able to meet.

Organized by I&P Conseil (member of the Afrique Créative consortium), the bootcamp was structured around 6 themess:

  • Determine my financing needs
  • Distinguish between the different valuation methods
  • Practical exercises on valuation methods
  • The fundamentals of an entrepreneur-investor relationship
  • Measure the impact of my activities
  • Discover ESG standards and analyze the risks of a project

In addition to the sessions, the entrepreneurs were able to interact with Olivier Bokoga (finance expert-trainer I&P Conseil) and with Luc Mayitoukou And Faisal Kiwewa (consortium members) on issues specifically related to their business.

The exchanges between the entrepreneurs and the trainers were very interesting and fascinating. Synergies have been created and the beginnings of partnerships between entrepreneurs from different countries are already emerging.

The boot camp marks the junction between the incubation phase and the acceleration phase of the Creative Africa program.

Focus on the acceleration phase :

  • What is evolving:
    • End of business support by incubators
    • Start of close mentoring by an investor
  • What doesn't change
    • One-off e-learning content
    • Support from a creative mentor
  • Focus: Investor mentoring
    • Pace: 1 day / month
    • Topics: determining your financing needs, preparing financial projections, negotiating with investors, etc.
