Afrique Créative, a consortium of 4 brilliant and motivated organizations

The Creative Africa program is implemented thanks to financial support of the'Agence française de développement (AFD) through its mandate on the cultural and creative industries. Its implementation is ensured by a consortium made up of four structures:

The first of them is Africalia, a Belgian association created at the initiative of the Belgian Development Cooperation which considers art and culture as essential components of sustainable human development. Africalia collaborates with civil society organizations carrying out cultural and artistic activities, initiated in Africa, in multiple contemporary disciplines. Africalia currently supports around fifteen cultural organizations and networks in several sub-Saharan African countries. Africalia coordinates the consortium and all of Afrique Créative's activities, from communication to administrative and financial management, including the organization of e-learning sessions and the various events that punctuate the life of the program. The structure maintains regular contact with the incubates to ensure that the program meets their development objectives.

Alongside Africalia is the group Investors and Partners (I&P), dedicated to financing and supporting start-ups, small and medium-sized businesses in sub-Saharan Africa. This actor is responsible for business center of Creative Africa and plays, as such, an essential role in business coaching for entrepreneurs. Beyond recruiting business mentors, I&P builds close ties with incubates in order to best adapt support to their needs and prepare them for future fundraising. Drawing on its expertise in the subject, I&P also provided useful content during online courses.

THE creative hub of the program is led by two organizations located on the African continent. On the pan French speaking, the preferred partner is Zhu Culture, an artistic and cultural agency based in Dakar and whose activities range from supporting artists to broadcasting shows. The organization enabled incubates to be put in touch with their creative mentors. He monitors this coaching, which aims to provide business experience in the development and implementation of development strategies and plans. In addition, the logistical organization of the Afrique Créative launch event in Saint-Louis (Senegal) was provided by Zhu Culture.

For the game English-speaker of the program, the flagship member of the consortium is the Ugandan organization Bayimba whose goal is to enhance arts and culture through cultural exchange and creativity. Thanks to its experience in the East African cultural world, its activities complement those of Zhu Culture. Bayimba thus guarantees contact and good relations between English-speaking entrepreneurs and their creative mentors. The structure is finally very active in setting up the second Creative Africa bootcamp planned for the end of the year in Kampala.

Thanks to the commitment and motivation of these organizations, the nine entrepreneurs supported by Afrique Créative can carry out ambitious acceleration projects.
