Founded in 2019, Ker Imagination Education (KIES) is a globally recognized organization in the fields of early childhood, innovative education and parenting in West Africa.

KIES offers a range of complementary services for African and Afro-descendant parents through its network of schools, its educational programs and the production of animated series to stimulate the learning of children aged 2 to 12.

KIES has worked with leading local and international artists and institutions, such as the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the United States Embassy, the French Institute, Open Society and the Bernard Van Leer Foundation . In 2019, KIES received the Best Children's Museum Award from Hands On and the European Council of Museums.

In response to the COVID crisis, Ker Imagination teams began producing educational and cultural media specifically for young children in Wolof and French. Among these contents, the series “Rama and Aicha” was a great success. The series was notably broadcast on TV5 Monde and won the “Audience Prize” in the “Animation” category.

Karima Grant is a reference in the field of education and parenting in Senegal. Author of 5 children's books, and after more than 10 years working as an educator, Karima Grant founded Imagination Afrika and its learning and innovation hub for children, Ker Imagination.

Karima started this company after noticing the significant gap between what children were learning in school and the skills they needed for the 21st century. She envisioned a space where children could develop their creative confidence and leadership skills through play and experiential learning. This led to the creation of the first cultural and educational center for children in Senegal, aimed at empowering the next generation of young African leaders: Ker Imagination.

Afrique Créative supports Ker Imagination in the development of Playmakers Studios, its animation studio that produces high-quality, culturally relevant educational media for African children. The studio notably offers animated series that promote active learning and the development of children, such as the “Rama and Aicha” series.

Ker Imagination is supported to strengthen its teams, create engaging and quality educational content, develop its audience and attract its target audience, as well as to establish new partnerships. This support will enable it to strengthen its position as a leader in innovative education in West Africa.
